XC Buffs Ready For Final Big 12 Championship

BOULDER - The University of Colorado cross country teams are ready for the 15th Annual Big 12 Championship on Saturday, October 30 at the Oklahoma State University Cross Country Course. Admission is free to the public.

The women will start the day at 10 a.m. with the 6-kilometer run and the men will run the 8k at 11 a.m. A short awards presentation will follow with the top 15 individuals earning All-Big 12 honors.

This will be the final Big 12 championship for the Buffs who have a rich tradition of winning team and individual titles. The CU men have won 12 of 14 conference titles, while the women have taken 11. The Buffs have won 17 individual titles; the men taking eight and the women with nine. The last time a male won the conference crown was Brent Vaughn in 2007 and Jenny Barringer won the title last year.
